    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     xka says after hearing about Neil Armstrong's passing, he was brought back to memories of his father Tommie Hawkins, who worked as a prop master with Neil Armstrong in Los Angeles in the 1970s. He sent in a photograph of his father posing with Armstrong in a photograph on a film set. Working in the entertainment business like his father, he would often visit his father to catch up on new film projects they were both doing. 'He really liked Neil Armstrong,' he said. 'When my dad passed away, I thought about how he worked with Neil Armstrong, he had a lot of respect for him,' he said.

    Our Dad, Propmaster Tommie Hawkins, on the set with Neal Armstrong for a shoot on the recreation of Mr. Armstong's walk on the moon. Circa 1970's.
    Tommie was a testament to Mr. Armstrongs warmth and humility. A truly Great man and Hero.
