    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     allycat62 lives in Big Pine Key and shot this video Sunday morning. She boarded up the house and stayed inside for the most part, venturing out every now and then. 'This severeness lasted about 45 minutes and rolled in and out all morning ... the reporters in Key West were making it sound like nothing was happening in the keys,' she said. 'The rain was pelting so hard it felt like needles.'

    While TWC was reporting the storm in Key West as minimal this is what was happening in Big Pine Key, 30 miles from Key West.
