    Earthquake Hits Brawley, CA

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     chrissoriano, who put this together for a CNN affiliate in San Diego told me, 'Many business here shut down to repair broken windows and fallen ceilings. Many roadways are blocked because of the many potholes in the middle of the road.'

    The city of Brawley was shaken today by a 5.4 magnitude earthquake.

     

    There was a swarm of moderate earthquakes that hit the area every few minutes.

     

    Structures throughout the city crumbled from the shakes and vibrations.

     

    The streets were affected and construction workers had to close off several roads for safety.

     

    The local Pioneer Memorial Hospital closed down to ensure that the patients wouldn't be in harms way.

     

    Although the earthquakes have gradually faded, there's no telling when's the next time it may strike again.
