    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     GilGonzalez told me, 'Prior to the storm approaching, people practically invaded supermarkets and Home Depot stocking up on water, canned goods and batteries. I retired and relocated from New Jersey so I've been through blizzards, ice storms and pretty much everything that happens up north. This is my second year here and this is the biggest storm I've seen so far.'
