    La tomatina, Tomato fight

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     As the town of Bunol, Spain, turned red for an epic tomato battle, jomifer captured these photos Wednesday of festival-goers partaking in the tomato frenzy. "It's a really popular festival. Today, over 40,000 people have participated," he says. "I felt like I was part of a party. There was a lot of happiness."

    Once again the village of Buñol is visited by 40,000 people. Since 1945, what began as a joke has become one of the best festivals of the summer. Five trucks have unloaded 120 tons of tomatoes over 1 hour for the tomato fight.
