NAM summit in Tehran and political prisoners in Iran.

    Dear Correspondent,

I understand that you are covering the NAM summit in Tehran. I wish to draw your attention to an Open letter which has recently been sent to UN Secreatary General by Prince Reza Pahlavi (former Crown Prince of Iran) regarding the deteriorating situation of Human Rights in Iran and that Mr. Ki-moon call on Iranian government to halt HR violations and release of all political prisoners in Iran.

I Support Mr. Pahlavi's letter [1] and am writing to ask you to if you could possibly question either Ban Ki moon, his spkesperson or Iranian officials about the plight of thousands of Iranian political prisoners and prisoners of conscience currently jailed in the prisons of the same city which is hosting the summit.

I and many of my compatriots will greatly appreciate it if you could publicize the matter -which is the rightful demand of many freedom-seeking Iranian people- and raise this issue at NAM's press conference.

    Yours sincerely,

[1] Reza Pahlavi's Open letter to His Excellency Ban Ki moon, relating to decision to attend the Non Aligned Movement (NAM) in Tehran
