Paul Ryan's Speech Effective To The Uninformed But Nothing But A Bastion Of lies
- hhanks, CNN iReport producer
Many of the political pundits and talking heads have accepted Paul Ryan’s speech as phenomenal. Sadly that is the problem with our mainstream media today. If a speech sounds good but is a bastion of misinformation it should be described as such and not as phenomenal.
Paul Ryan lied about the factory closing under President Obama. It occurred under Bush. Paul Ryan lied about Medicare cuts. It is savings from the giveaway to private insurance companies that is Medicare Advantage and other savings. These savings are used to expand Medicare’s life and medical coverage in the country. In other words it is a humane act. Paul Ryan’s budget makes the same savings and simply transfers it to tax cuts to a wealthy few.
Paul Ryan talks about repealing Obamacare which will cause the loss of insurance to many as well as the loss of life to many.
Paul Ryan repeated the misrepresentation of Obama’s “You didn’t built that” statement which simply spoke about everyone having received support for their success. He lied about the President ignoring bi-partisan Simpson-Bowles commission when he was instrumental in the commission’s failure. He voted against the report.
He lied about being a follower of Jack Kemp when it is documented that his staff’s required reading was Atheist Ayn Rand’s publications that supported objectivism, abortion, and radical individualism.
