    Daily life for sugar cane plantation workers and family

    The sugar cane plantations of the Dominican Republic mostly employ Haitians. The living conditions of the workers is very poor. Many Haitians left Haiti for a better life after the 2010 earthquake.
    Cholera and other life-threatening diseases every day, the most vulnerable are children, oblivious to the difficulties they always have a smile.
