Eastwood - Bringing Down the House
Mystery speaker, Clint Eastwood, brought down the house with his comical take as he addressed an empty chair which was where supposedly President Barack Obama was sitting.
The spoof was spot on. Eastwood showed why he is loved by Americans everywhere and why he has been a success as an Academy-award-winning star.
Offering to let the President use Air Force One, just as long as he stepped aside and let a real businessman, Mitt Romney, take over was a masterful stroke.
This is a new side to a man known for his dramatic roles. His timing and comedic take was dead on.
Eastwood had the conventioneers eating out of his hand as he pointed out elected officials work for the people and the people are the bosses. Eastwood got loud cheers and applause when remarking it was time to let Obama go because he wasn't doing the job.
More cheers and hoots when Eastwood turned to the chair and said, "Alright, you wanna make my day?"
Eastwood proved why he is a star tonight.
From the Cornfield, a side of Clint Eastwood I have never seen. I remember watching him as Rowdy Yates on Rawhide...what a trail the man has blazed.
