After August 29, 2005, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers were faced with a challenge from Hurricane Katrina. Seven years later, their jobs have been put to test and in my opinion they have failed. How could they not know or let the state be aware in advance that if they have built a new levee system that will protect the City of New Orleans from a repeat of Hurricane Katrina, that another area will be flooded. If the pressure from the new levee system is forcing water from one place then there should be another method to releasing pressure in order to prevent another catastrophic event like Hurricane Isaac. They have not only caused flooding in surrounding areas of New Orleans but they have also caused more future failures & breaches in other areas that protects the Lake Ponchartrain. I really think their efforts in letting the people know how serious this could be ahead of time could have been better. Hurricane season starts in June. It did not take until now to realize or find out that this would have happened. There was no doubt in my mind that it would because if you block water from one area then it is forced to go somewhere else to release all of that pressure. Please U.S. Army Corps of Engineers LET THE PEOPLE OF LOUISIANA KNOW THE SERIOUSNESS SO THAT THEY CAN BE BETTER PREPARED  !!!!
