TSUNAMI WARNING FOR ASIA
A Tsunami warning has been issued for Indonesia, Phillipines, Papua New Guinea Japan, Hong Kong, Guam, Taiwan and Pacific Islands after 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck the Phillipines.
It is likely that a tsunami was generated. The maximum tsunami wave height near the coast of Pilar will be 1.43m.
PHILIPPINE VOLCANOLOGY CENTER ADVISES RESIDENTS NEAR COAST TO MOVE TO HIGH GROUND.
A detailed tsunami wave height calculation is ongoing and should be available 20 minutes
The Tsunami alert for Japan extends all the way up the Pacific coast to Fukushima.
Bureau of Meteorology says Australia will NOT be impacted by tsunami in Pacific.
No immediate reports of damage or injuries at this stage.
