    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     c3d2003 captured a video of the blue moon rising over Lansing, Michigan on August 31. 'I grew up in the country, so I always had a great view of stars at night. Because of that I've been fascinated by astronomy since I was young,' he said.

    Shot a brief video of the blue moon rising tonight. The video is sped up about 400%. Shot with a Canon Rebel t2i and Canon 70-200mm f/4L Lens.
