Beached whales along Fort Pierce Florida
20 pilot whales washed up on the beaches of Fort Pierce early Saturday morning. People took shifts holding the whales upright while other gaiters water in buckets to keep the whale cool. Some at least 3 of the whales had passed away while other whales moved their fins about as the sound if air passed from their blowholes when covered with the cool water. The red cross brought out tents and hydration for the Volunteers. Agencies from Sea World Rescue along with FWS, Harbor Branch Dolphin Research Institute were On hand to guide volunteers as well
