    RNC Disappoints, Will DNC?

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Wharris613 says after watching the Republican National Convention events all week he says the RNC did not appeal to younger voters. '[Republicans] briefly touched on the issues facing young people with Paul Ryan simply making a joke that young people returned home to look at a faded picture of Barack Obama. The issues that we face are just as serious as any other group in this country, if not more,' he said. He thinks the Republican Party has written off the youth vote as being unreliable because of voting inconsistencies, but he feels as though the vote of the young people does matter. Wharris613 is going to the Democratic National Convention, having won the iReport convention contest.

    Despite some noted highlights of the RNC, I explain why I feel they missed a perfect opportunity to appeal to younger voters. I go on to explain that I'll be in Charlotte, during the DNC at the CNN Grill, and I'll be looking for President Obama to mention what the issues that the Republicans missed.
