    Bourne To Be Bond's Legacy

Jeremy Renner fills Matt Damon's shoes nicely in this re-boot of the much loved series, and he is is great - Bourne is a modern day James Bond and it was never going to be easy ostensibly replacing the main character. But this film delivers the goods, and does not disappoint.

The film opens with Renner in a tense scene in the mountains featuring actor Oscar Issac; both men figuring each other out with the atmosphere to chill your spine to the bone. It's a non-stop thrill ride from there, and from start to finish, you will be on the edge of your seat!

A secret Department of Defense program that uses pills called 'chems' to build up the agents minds and bodies has gone terribly wrong, so can Bourne save himself - and the girl? Can they out-wit the CIA too?

There are some familiar faces (Albert Finney, Joan Allen and David Strathairn) but for the most part Legacy attempts to be its own movie, with Rachel Weisz and Ed Norton added to the mix - both are excellent in their roles.

While the first half of the picture builds the characters, the second half is non-stop action, with one of the greatest chase scenes in movie history - on both motorcycles and foot -  thru the streets of Manila in the Philippines.

This movie was much better than I expected, great job by director Tony Gilroy.
