    The French saying "joie de vivre," which means 'joy of living', can only truly be understood by traveling to the south of France. Stunningly beautiful, it is easy to see why Matisse, Chagall, Picasso, Nietzsche, and many other painters and writers were so captivated by the Côte d'Azur.
