    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     He’s carrying the torch in our family and it’s pretty awesome. We're extremely proud of him; just the fact that he is carrying on the family legacy is thrilling for me." -David's father, Danny

    My son, David is a 4th generation Navy man in our family dating back to his great-grandfather from the WWI era. He is stationed in Virginia and will be deployed over seas in the near future. We are extremely proud of him and look forward to his safe return next year.
