As my daughter, Karsen waited for the bus to come for the first day of Kindergarten, we took out the chalk. We decided to write the word Kindergarten. She quickly noticed that it started with the same letter as her name...which of course means that she is ready for school! I took some photos of her with the biggest smile on her face. She was so excited to begin this new chapter of her young life. As the bus approached, she jumped up with her backpack on. She climbed the huge stairs and saw some friendly faces, which made us both happy. She waved to her Daddy and me and as the bus turned the corner and she couldn't see us anymore, the tears began. How did our baby grow up so fast? She basically skipped down those same huge stairs after school. When I asked her how it was...she said "FUN!" I would say in the life of a Kindergartener, that is a successful first day.
