    My Favorite U.S. Buildings

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JohnMcGraw shot these photos of his favorite buildings over the last two years and says each photo means something special to him because of the memories that go along with each of the trips he has taken. "The first photo was taken during a fantastic three day weekend in NYC. The architecture of the Flat Iron building just amazes me," he says. "I captured the photo of Grand Central Station on the same trip. The thought of the millions of people that go through that building, and the history of it, is just spectacular."

From the Big Apple to an equally memorable trip on the other side of the coast, another highlight for JohnMcGraw was taking in much of what San Francisco had to offer. "I captured the Alcatraz photo about an hour before sunrise from the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. I shot there all night and waited for sunrise," he says. "Right after that, I went to the Painted Ladies and captured that shot. To see the city of San Francisco waking up in the background was an amazing site."
