    Your favorite building

    The Walls of Dubrovnik

My favorite buildings are the Walls of Dubrovnik. The Walls of Dubrovnik aren't just one building, but they are a serious of stone made walls which have surrounded and protected the old city of Dubrovnik, situated in southern Croatia. Old city of Dubrovnik with its walls joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1979.

Today's scope of the walls was defined in 13 century but they were being extended until the end of 17 century. The walls run an uninterrupted course of 1940 metres encircling the old city with a maximum height of 25 metres.

Walking on the walls is something really amazing. There is the old city on the one side of the walls and crystal clear sea on the other side.

Photos were taken on April 2011.
