    Teachers create back-to-school music video!

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Physical education teacher Jordan Hein (PrideInUG) and science teacher Mitchell Brachman created this music video to inspire students and to promote a positive community culture and identity for Union Grove High School in Wisconsin. "In early June, I had a dream about a music video about school. I must have watched Glee or something," he says. "I woke up, called Mitchell, and the next day we got together to write lyrics. I recorded the vocals later that night and we met with some hard working students during the last week of school to lay out our plan and arrange a day to film the video."

Hand selecting some of their brightest student leaders to be a part of their video, Hein says they chose students that other students would look up to and hopefully follow in their direction. "I give them a lot of credit for keeping it together while Mitchell and I were singing and dancing. There are a lot of outtakes," he says. "Students have asked to watch the video at the beginning of class since it has been posted. We have a very energetic staff, and it has really brought some pep to the first week of school and it will only grow from here."

Passionate about teaching, Hein says he and Mitchell want their students to take responsibility of their own education. "When students share the same energy and enthusiasm for education that our teachers do, it makes for an incredible educational experience," he says.
