We Need Obama
I grew up in poverty, My Father, a disabled Vietnam Veteran worked and raised us without food stamps until we were grown. I remember getting sick and he didn't have the money to take us to the doctor. I remember every night it was beans. When I got married all I new how to cook was beans. My own children love them to this day. I've raised my own children to understand that money does not grow on tree's and you live within your means. Period. I don't own a credit card but you best believe I have debt. all of it is medical. when I was 33 years old and insured by blue cross/blue shield, I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. I fought tooth and nail for my life. My only dream was that I could live long enough to raise my children. My only Son just returned from Afghanistan. He served this country and continues to do so. Other than Christmas, Independence day is the biggest in our family. I beat cancer. I don't know how, but I did. My husband left me during that time and my father died. I believe with all my heart that America is great enough to have and sustain "obamacare" "socialized medicine" "health care reform" call it what you will. Americans, ALL Americans deserve it and we CAN afford it! We need to level the playing field. Our President was not the first to try to initiate this, but he did accomplish this and I pray he is re-elected so that he can see it through. They called Public schools socialism at its worst, they called Social Security socialism at its worst, they called medicare/medicaid socialism at its worst. We need it and we deserve it. My son and my father and my grandfather and great grandfather all fought in wars over seas to ensure that I could have the best. But I don't........I want to ask the republicans WHY??? Americans have struggled so long to claim our place in this world. WHY??? are we the only western nation who does have covered medical. Why are our children and grandmothers dying because they cant pay for medical coverage. Obama has my vote! it's that simple.
