Former Vice President Walter Mondale Speaks to College Students

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ariccarp11 told me, 'We are all sitting together (about 100 of us) in a lecture hall on campus, watching the DNC via CNN's online feed. I only recently found out he was going to be here. He was brought here by the Students for Obama group on campus.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

Former Vice President Walter Mondale spoke in front of a group of University of Minnesota Students on Thursday evening. With his speech scheduled in between the speeches of Vice President Joe Biden and President Barack Obama, Mondale made things short and sweet to his much small audience. His main points: getting the youth ready to vote in November, and discussing how government helps students make college more affordable. Specifically in his own case, the GI Bill allowed him to not only graduate from the University of Minnesota, but to also graduate from the University of Minnesota Law School. He spoke to a group of 100 or so students in a small lecture hall, who all enthusiastically welcomed Mr. Mondale to speak. During the convention, he sat front row center of all the students watching both Biden and Obama deliver exceptional speeches, and even cheered along with all of the students.
