My shattered phone
That day, I was walking to a wedding reception and was already fuming from Having just found out I was cheated on. All of a sudden, the phone tumbled from my hand, face flat onto the sidewalk. As if on cue, right after I picked it up and realized its shattered, "the cheater" texted me with his fourth apology text of the day. I'm hanging onto this phone, waiting out the iphone5. My fingers accumulate glass slivers in them from texting and several buttons no longer work, but, by golly, I'm sticking it out until the 5!
