Better off Indeed
The economy was in a shambles back in 2008 when the Democrats took over from George Bush. In fact I had lost almost 60% of my 401K ($100,000) and almost sure that my bank was going to go under any day.
My 401k has now recovered nicely under the Democrats and my bank and savings are OK. I also have saved more money now then ever before and have been more frugile and that is good.
I am much better off in 2012 then when the Republicans almost ran the economy into the ground. Honestly Mitt Romney almost destroyed the Massachussettes economy and that scare me to death.
The old Repbulican phiosophy to "Double down on Trickle Down" does not work for my pocker book. The Repbulicans almost left me homeless in 2008.
