    Pastel-colored Macau

    I went on a budget trip to Macau last August. I stayed in a USD18 fan room, and explored the city on foot, and occasionally aboard the free hotel buses.

    The historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage site, combining Portuguese and Chinese architecture. The Portuguese buildings are easily identifiable by its pastel-colored facades, and are scattered all over the city. NIghttime visits can also give a better view, with the lighting enhancing the intricate architecture.
