Sights and sounds of the DNC
DNC Delegate leaves Convention and joins Occupy
Wrong video! Please follow this link to see what I'm talking about:
After the lame vote yesterday to change the Democratic Party platform, a delegate walked straight out of the DNC Convention and sought out Occupy protesters to explain why he was abandoning the Democratic Party and joining Occupy.
"God" and Jerusalem were added back to the platform after criticism from the right. The vote was taken by voice. 2/3rds was needed to pass. They called the vote 3 times. I was watching. At best the vote was equal. No way was it a 2/3 majority. What a lame way to try to change the platform. I'd walk out too.
I will still vote for Obama because I think Romney/Ryan will not be good for our country. But c'mon, Democrats. Stop bowing to the pressure of idiots. God and politics don't mix. Non-believers have rights too. It's plain wrong to force God into politics.
Rachel Corrie was a college student from my state of Washington. She was protesting injustices against the Palestinian people. She stood her ground when Israeli government workers were ordered to bulldoze down Palestinian homes. She stood in front of a bulldozer to stop the injustice. The bulldozer crushed her. And this week an Israeli court decided it was "unintentional."
And some think Israel is our closest ally? Um, I don't think so.
What do you think?
Full disclosure: I don't know if this was staged. It could have been. But I still like it!
