Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Brunei

The golden-domed mosque is the centerpiece of Brunei's capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan. It is named after the 28th Sultan of Brunei, an example of modern Islamic architecture, and is visible anywhere within the city center.

It is connected to a lagoon on the banks of the Brunei River, overlooking the water village, Kampong Ayer, the traditional residence of the people of Brunei.

Non-muslim visitors are allowed to enter. They have to walk inside barefoot, allowed to step only on a specific carpeted path, wearing a black cloth that is provided in the mosque's entrance.
