    Local Bazaars of Turkey

Turkey is a tourist's dream destination for its gorgeous scenery and colorful historical background. The sunset along the Mediterranean coastline of Antalya almost equals that of Ibiza --- simply breath-taking.

But, the one thing that makes a visit to Turkey different and worth every second of your time there is the spectacular display of almost everything you can imagine in one location --- the local bazaars.

That is where you will experience a sense-surround of Turkey all at once.

Colorful displays of local produce from fruits to nuts to spices to livestock make it almost impossible for you to divert your attention to anything else as your eyes stay glued to the unbelievable array of offerrings before you.

The smell of freshly-seasoned meats being grilled, the lure of freshly-made ekmek (flatbreads) filled with cheese and folded double by scarved-women pouring over the griddle, the sound of the pretzel (simit)-man's voice as he calls out to all around him that his offer is the best in town, the tooting of horns by the rubbish-collector on his improvised scooter bursting with bags strapped to whatever nook or cranny there was available......

    Mermerizing, to say the least!
