    Fire Threatens Jackson Hole

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     grandteton photographed a wildfire in Jackson, Wyoming, on September 8. She says when she photographed the fire it was already burning more than an hour and homes and business within the area were evacuated. She says now when she looks out her window, all she sees is smoke coming from the east. 'The buttes, just a mile away, are hidden in a thick haze. The sounds of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft are constant. The smoke is permeating our houses, and affecting our breathing,' she said.

    A 300 acre wildfire in Horsethief Fire is threatening homes and an industrial area, three miles south of the resort town of Jackson Hole.

    Residents of the nearby Melody Ranch subdivision viewing the fire that is only half of a mile away.
