Political Billboards Destroyed in Butler County and Mercer County, Pennsylvania

Northeast Democrats have purchased two billboards and put up signs to support Missa Eaton, the Democrat running against incumbent Republican Mike Kelly for the Third Congressional District. One went up near the Stoneboro Fair on August 30th and was covered with a tarp and then torn down the next day. The other billboard was put up in Butler, Pennsylvania. Don Barbour, a prominent Republican in Butler informed the Northeast Democrats that the billboard would be removed. The billboard was first covered immediately and then removed entirely hours later. This story can be verified by checking the Butler Eagle, page 4 of Friday, September 7, 2012 and page 2 of the Saturday, September 8, 2012 issue of the Butler Eagle. This is a strongly Republican district in which many may not be happy with the political message, but these are definitely illegal actions that are preventing free political speech.
