    CTU Strike Corliss High School

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     High school teacher ChiTeacher3 says the picket line at Corliss High School in Chicago was a very positive experience and that he was surprised how many people drove by honking their horns in support. "Many of the drivers waved at us, or raised their fists outside their windows and pumped them in the air. It was a great feeling to know that the neighborhood was behind us," he says. "The kids inspire me. There are students who have every reason to fail and don't. They fight and work hard through it all to get their education. My frustrations are mainly due to lack of resources to get these students the help they need to succeed. In my view, education is an investment."
