    Chicago public school teachers turned back by police

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     primeterre told me, 'The protest took place this morning near the Mayor's home. Some protestors looked tense and others seemed more festive. When the police showed up, things became more tense, however, the protestors quickly retreated and marched 1/2 a mile back.'

    Chicago police turned back striking Chicago public school teachers, who marched within a few feet of Mayor Emmanuel's home in the Lakeview area. There were no incidents. About 60 protestors participated in the peaceful march.
