Teachers: Why do you teach? |
Chicago Teachers Go On STRIKE!
- Echerneff, CNN iReport producer
These teachers sure know how to make their voices HEARD! Throngs of Chicago teachers took to Chicago's streets, right in the midst of rush hour, wreaking havoc on Chicago's already congested city traffic.
All I can say is: more power to them. Normally, I'd be throwing a FIT with how much traffic I had to sit through in order to get home this evening, but quite frankly, I'm a firm believer that teachers in this country are incredibly undervalued for the role they play in society.
As such... good luck to all you Chicago teachers today. Well done for standing up for your rights... you are, after all, one of the most valuable professions our country has to offer and you deserve much more respect and visibility than you currently have.
