    The Career I was Born Into

    As an educator in the Newark Public Schools district, everyday I walk into my classroom I feel as if there is a new challenge before me that was built especially for me to meet. I meet these challenges with strength, zeal, and perseverance that stems from the fact that I love what I do. I was born to be an educator.
    I understand that being an educator is more about wanting to impact or empower a world of leaders who will lead well, even after my heart stops. That's why I do not worry about how many figures I make or what I may be lacking in comparison to other professionals who have the same credentials that I do or less. The truth is, as an educator, I live well. Not just financially, but mentally, and spiritually.
