    Chicago striking teachers marched near the Mayor's home on the first day of the strike!

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     primeterre told me, 'The protest took place this morning near the Mayor's home. Some protestors looked tense and others seemed more festive. When the police showed up, things became more tense, however, the protestors quickly retreated and marched 1/2 a mile back.'

    About 60 marchers protested near Emmanuel's home until they were turned away by Chicago police.
