The Deadliest Mountain on the Planet

This is an image of Annapurna 1. It boasts a reputation of having the highest 'death-to-summit' ratio on the planet. At 26,545 ft. (8091m) it is the 10th highest summit on earth and poses enormous challenges to climbers, particularly from avalanches. The 38% fatality rate is the greatest (worst) of the 'big 14'. Meaning you have roughly a 60% percent chance of coming home alive after attempting it's summit. Standing before it on this sunny & still June morning was a humbling experience. Grant.
