MAZAR-E-SHARIF, Afghanistan (September 10) - A suicide attacker detonated himself in in the center of Kunduz city, capital of Kunduz province this afternoon. At least 16 innocent people were killed including one woman and a child and more than 20 other innocent people were wounded in this cowardish attack. ISAF's Regional Command-North strongly condemns this senseless attack and those who caused this despicable violence against innocent Afghans. “By hurting and killing innocent people in the center of a peaceful province capital the enemies of Afghanistan continue to display their brutal and ruthless nature against their own people. This is another proof that they fight against a prosperous future of Afghanistan” says Major General Erich Pfeffer, commander of ISAF Regional Command-North. The men and women of Regional Command-North mourn the needless loss of innocent lives and we extend our sincere condolences to the families. -
