Reminder: Republican Stance on Global Warming
Reminder: Republican Stance on Global Warming
With the presidential election just 2 month away, a quick reminder of the Republican stance on global warming should remind people how they believe and think. Here are just some examples of what they have said, most were presidential candidates of the Republican Party.
Rick Santorum: (1). "There is no such thing as global warming." (2). “a beautifully concocted scheme” that is “just an excuse for more government control of your life.” (3). “junk science.”
Newt Gingrich: Flip flopped. Said there was no such thing as global warming, then changed back and forth several times. Whichever got him the most votes at the time.
Herman Cain: “Man-made global warming is poppycock. I don’t believe in it."
Tim Pawlenty: "Not man made"
Rick Perry: (1). “If Perry was president, one of the things I’d not worry about is a carbon tax,” he said. “I’d worry about big spiders eating New Jersey first.” (2). "Climate Change Is A Hoax Drummed Up By Scientists Looking To Make Money."
Bush II: "There is no climate change"
Sarah Palin: "snake oil science."
Michele Bachmann: “manufactured science.”
Ron Paul: “the greatest hoax I think that has been around for many, many years.”
What the Pentagon Told Bush II: "Climate Change Will Destroy Us"
This is a reflection of what Republicans think of science, not just global warming science. Fortunately, nearly all scientist (including those at the Pentagon) disagree.
American's also lead the world (with the exception of Turkey) in their rejection of the Theory of Evolution, nearly all of those with conservative and or Republican affiliations.
Finally, in case you didn't know, the Mormon religion in their Book of Mormon declares dark skin as a "curse" for those who have dark skin.
Anyone see a pattern here? Just sayin'
Just a reminder when you go to vote for your next President.
