9-11 Tribute By Local FireFighter
For 11 years now my neighbor Scott Townley, a Santa Ana firefighter, has paid tribute to the firefighters who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. Scott spent 11 months building the crosses one by one by hand. He said 343 firefighters gave their lives along with 74 NYPD, PAPD and a total of 2,965 innocent lives. The names of each firefighter are on the crosses.
The entire front and side of Scott's house is covered with crosses and flags. There is an information booth in front with lots of data and also a book you can sign.
The large cross that says "Civilians" has each and every name of those perished on it. There are 2,965 small American Flags in this tribute.
When I went there a few min. ago, there were reporters from every major and non major network. I got my own video interview with Scott which I will be making another report on since it may not upload therefore messing up this report :).
God Bless the men, women and children who died on 9-11.
