CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Having taught dance education to children ranging from kindergarten to high school, levisanz says what inspires him to teach is his desire to help. "I have begun to adopt the term facilitator because most of my teaching derives from the curiosity of my students and what I do as an educator is invest myself in their journey of finding the truth," he says. "The frustrations I face most as an educator is not the low pay, long hours or poor benefits. It's the ignorance of politicians that are out of touch with what is happening on the ground that draft educational policies that have nothing to do with preparing our future leaders with the tools to become self-reliant, and creative thinking adults."

Currently pursuing his master's degree in order to teach dance education full-time, he says he has always known that going into this field would be difficult. "Each semester I have to answer the very real question, can I afford it anymore?" he says. Adding that he still chooses this path because he believes he can help students feel like they are a valued part of the world. "Children and adolescents are smarter than we give them credit for. If the administration and politicians really took the time to listen to these future leaders, we wouldn’t be in the mess that we are intoday with our educational system."
