With the planned reduction, the local governments will not be able to operate its services such as day care centers for the young and the elderly, medical services and food assistance programs, among others.
An employee of the municipality of South Suburbs , Hellinikon said that the programs of the schools would also be affected as there would not be enough funds to finance the cultural programs and also its personnel.
According to her, the banner their group was holding said: No to economic cuts, No to Troka....
The workers called for a 48-hour strike which will end tomorrow, September 13.
