Mitt Romney Involved in Swiss Bank USB Tax Evasion Scam of IRS?
Mitt Romney still has yet to release his tax and investment records to the people of the U.S. This is an unusual move since releasing these types of records is standard practice for those who seek public office, especially the U.S. Presidency.
Bradley Birkenfeld, a former banking executive at USB bank of Switzerland in the United States was recently awarded a 104 million dollar reward for cooperating with prosecutors and the IRS who released the names of over 4,000 U.S. citizens that were involved in the tax evasion scheme.
The names themselves haven’t been released to the public, and likely will have to be obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, but it does make one curious just who is on that list and what they own in the U.S.
Considering Mitt Romney’s wealth, he could easily fit within that 4,000 + number of U.S. residence involved in the scheme.
As the U.S. Presidential election approaches, his tax and investment records become increasingly more important for the voters of the United States to know about. Not to mention the full list of names on that list Bradley Birkenfeld had provided that is legally a right of the people to know.
The Freedom of Information Act should be immediately invoked to obtain these records.
People have to wonder why he is hiding his records. Just what does he have to hide?
