We awoke again today with the sounds of explosions from Fuego and this time is appears more serious as people are being evacuated from the western slop.   While I was having my breakfast in the kitchen, the gardner came in and said we should see what was happening.  A huge ash plume had suddenly materialized on the southwestern slop and in a matter of minutes came rolling down the volcano.   We were supposed to  meet some contractors today, but we just found out the eruption appears to be growing.   For the first time we're packing a bag and gathering some irreplaceable items in a suitcase.   What should we take with us? ???  Too many choices.       As I've said before, life is always interesting here.  BTW, the mayor of Antigua was arrested yesterday for money laundering and 12 other counts.
