    Hurricane Isaac: After the Storm

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     patticarol posted additional photos of from her trip to Braithwaite, Louisiana, to help with Hurricane Isaac recovery efforts. Patti says many of the people she knows lost their entire livelihoods are struggling to get by. 'I don’t know if they will be able to rebuild. I think there will be fear and concern that this will happen again ... so it really saddens me ... My biggest hope is that their spirit will be rejuvenated as well as all the other people down there. No matter where they go they will be able to get that spirit that they had back.'

    Hurricane Isaac, August 29, 2012: I am posting more photos of Aloma and Kenneth Savastano's home and belongings. After enjoying 70 wonderful years in Braithwaite, LA they will likely not return.

    Having never flooded before, the threat of more floods is too great with the "Great Wall" now in place. The "Great Wall" is how the residents of Braithwaite refer to the federal levee that was built after Katrina. This 32 foot high levee stops at Braithwaite excluding this town of 2500 from Federal Levee Protection.
