What an inhumanity or Minka's story!
On August 30,2012, at approximately 1:40 p.m., my daughters boyfriend Bryan and his coworker witnessed a kitten being thrown from a vehicle on the Route 30 overpass onto a northbound lane of Cleveland Ave., SW , in Canton,Ohio.
He parked his vehicle partially blocking the lane, causing traffic to go around him so kitten wouldn't be hit.
Bryan decided to move the kitten from the street. As he approached him,he moved. Kitten was still alive.Bryan placed a large folded paper bag under him and moved kitten to the grass beside the street while his coworker began making phone calls.
Tongue hanging out and eyes bulging, the kitten began to flail.Twice he tried to run,but he appeared unable to move his whole body.
They decided to take the kitten to a veterinary clinic. They arrived at the clinic and explained to the staff member what happened. After a few minutes the veterinarian,Dr.Wade, came out and advised that the kitten had no broken bones. He was observed at the clinic for 72 hours and his condition kept improving.
Bryan decided to keep kitten and named him Minka.
The veterinary hospital kept kitten for additional observation. Two weeks passed and Minka behaved as if he had never fallen.Part of his right ear and the tip of his tail had to be removed due to his injuries.
Minka is approximately three months old and he is doing very well.He appears healthy ,happy, and he has a big appetite, he loves to be held.
As for the person or people who threw him from the 50 -foot overpass, I hope one day they somehow discover that they failed to kill an amazing innocent kitten.Minka is living like a king.
I wonder how they are living?
