    Okinawa Wakes To Wind And Rain

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     okikitty captured a video of deteriorating weather conditions in Ginowan City, Okinawa, Japan, on September 16. She says she is not too worried about Typhoon Sanba because the city is built to withstand typhoons. 'Okinawa has mostly recovered from Typhoon Bolaven with only minor damage such as downed trees,' she said.

    Okinawa awoke Sunday morning to heavy rain and wind gusts from Typhoon Sanba which approached the island late Saturday evening and into early Sunday morning.

    The storm is expected to continue throughout Sunday morning and into the afternoon.
