Route 66 Rendezvous: Life In The Fast Lane
SAN BERNARDINO CA -- Hot Rodders from all over the west came to inland So Cal on Saturday to enjoy the 23rd annual Route 66 Rendezvous, as rows of classic cars lined the streets, the smell of fuel filled the air, and thousands of spectators gathered to honor the 'Mother Road'.
The Route 66 Rendezvous is a special event that incorporates nostalgia and family entertainment with an icon of southern California lifestyle. From it's humble beggining's in 1990, the event has grown each year - it now attracts over 500,000 visitors to the 4 day car show and cruise.
As tradition would have it, the temps were among the hottest of the year so far - but most did not mind, as the cars were the stars tonight! The program wrapped up with the world famous Doors tribute band, 'Wild Child'.
See you next year at the Route 66 Rendezvous!
