Venezuelan refinery explodes
the past saturday, september 25th, a venezuelan refinery called "Refinera Amuay" exploded. Nobody kniws what happened there, some say it happened for government's oversight and people from the government say that it's something that could happen normally. A few friends were there the night the refinery exploded, they said it was like an eathquake because of the uproar, there were so many buildings and houses that collapsed and the blast reached Aruba. I took this picture in the airplanes while traveling from my city (Maracaibo) to Aruba, we have to pass over this state where the refinery is. There was a huge smoke layer and far away we could see a big gray cloud of smoke because atthat hour (5:00 pm) the fire was not extinguished. When we landed in Aruba, we asked local people if they new something about this and they said they thought that the island was shaking and they were very scared.
People in Punto Fijo, where the refinery is, are still homeless, right now leaving in shelters waiting for the governments responses.
What I am trying to say with this photo is that every storm has a raimbow and God has something really good for those people and for all of the Venezuelan habitants.
