National Gas Prices - A Snapshot - September 17th
It's Monday, which means it's time to take at trip across the US of A and check out how much pain there is at the pump. By far across the nation pain at the pump is still intense for many.
In our weekly National Snapshot, we look at a select city in all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia. The powers-that-be still are saying costs will go down as the industry switches over from summer grade to winter grade mixtures.
Here in the Cornfield, gas costs ranged from $3.69 up 18 cents in the state capitol of Indianapolis to $3.82 down 2 cents in Terre Haute and $3.83 down 3 cents in the Cornfield.
What I found is that in 7 locations the price of gas was down compared to last week when it was 12. Those seeing an increase were 40 locations compared to 33 last Monday. That means in 4 locations the pump reading was unchanged compared to 6 last week.
The current national average gas cost is $3.86 up 3.7 cents. Oil per barrel is $96.15 up $3.04 per barrel.
To compare today's findings with last Monday's:
